Balance Training Tools

Improving balance isn’t just about “trying harder” — it’s about training the body to react more confidently to changes in surface, posture, and movement. These simple tools can help strengthen the ankles, hips, and core while supporting better stability at home.

Balance Pad

This balance pad is what I use with my patients. It’s soft, stable, and helps us work on stability when on an unlevel surface.

Weighted Ball

This is the weighted ball I like for safe amplitude exercises and trunk rotation work

Safety:
Choose a lighter 2# weight for anyone with shoulder issues.

Step Platform (Low Height, Non-Slip)

This is the step platform I use for controlled step-ups and seated hamstring stretches. Low, sturdy, and safe for home use.

Walking Poles

Did you know that there are good studies showing the benefits of Nordic walking to improve upright posture, rhythmic arm swing, and coordination of upper and lower body movement? — all of which tend to be impaired in Parkinson’s. These trekking poles are collapsible and have rubber feet for all types of terrain.
